Become A Foster Parent

Becoming a therapeutic foster parent to help a child in our community is both satisfying and rewarding.  We also understand that it can be challenging and complicated but with one of our experienced Clinical Specialists we will guide you through the licensing process and work with you when a child is placed in your home. We strive to help you feel comfortable and prepared to have a child placed with you.  We provide trauma-focused training including “TIPS-MAPP” and “Becoming a Therapeutic Foster Parent”. Besides skilled specialists and excellent trainings therapeutic foster parents also receive monthly compensation, 24-hours emergency support services and we have our very own therapeutic foster parent support group.  We believe in families and want you to be a part of our family.

 Foster Parent Qualifications: 

  • Be able to nurture a child’s development

  • 21 years of age or older

  • Married, single, divorced or widowed

  • Must reside in North Carolina

  • Live in a home, apartment, condo, town-home or a mobile home

  • Provide each child with their own personal bed

  • Possess a valid NC driver’s licenses and auto insurance so that you may be able to transport the foster child

  • Consent to federal and state background checks

  • Work in partnership with Triad Treatment Homes

  • Complete pre-service trainings
