Who Are We?

Triad Treatment Homes was founded in 1994 by Nancy Walkowiak, MSW, providing specialized Therapeutic Foster Care Services for children. We are one of the first agencies in North Carolina to provide these services and are considered one of the best in our field.

Our home office is in Greensboro, North Carolina but we have licensed therapeutic foster homes throughout the Triad area. We strive to be the best in providing quality therapeutic foster care services to any child in need.   We use a person-centered model as a philosophy and guide in service delivery and practice.  In support of the agency’s Mission and Core Values, Triad Treatment Homes works to enhance quality of life and improve functioning for clients and their families.  Our services and activities reflect awareness of clients physical, developmental, cultural, spiritual, behavioral, and emotional characteristics and needs.

Triad Treatment Homes is licensed as a private Child-Placing Agency by the NC Department of Social Services and are also governed by the Division of Medicaid Services and the NC Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse.  We serve children and young adults from the ages of 5-21 that have experienced trauma and would benefit from trauma-focused behavioral health services.
